Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: New England Patriots’ Tight End In Hot Water For Threatening Prison Guard; Man Arrested In Gun Trafficking Investigation Related To Trial

Aaron Hernandez's murder case just keeps getting interesting as the former New England Patriots' tight end is being investigated for threatening prison guard late last year. In another development, a man was arrested following a gun trafficking probe which is related to the whole trial.

The former star athlete is being grilled over the alleged threats he made to a prison guard who ratted him out for trying to cheat the system into getting more food.

"Investigators recently met with an ex-inmate who was locked up near Hernandez at BCJ to discuss a 2013 incident between the former New England Patriots tight end and a correctional officer," TMZ Sports reported.

Aaron Hernandez was being asked whether he uttered the words that he's going to "kill the guard and shoot his family" when he gets out of jail.

But a former inmate insisted that the reports are not true. However, the source toldTMZ that the athlete called the prison guard a "b-tch" during a shouting match.

Oscar Hernandez Jr. (not related to the murder suspect) was arrested on Wednesday evening in Florida for obstruction of justice, witness tampering and perjury, according to ESPN, adding that the case is related to Aaron Hernandez's murder case quoting Boston U.S. Attorney Office.

The probe is centered on the three firearms recovered in relation to the murder Odin Lloyd in the middle of last year. The semi-pro football player was found about a mile away from the home of the tight end in North Attleborough.

Earlier, two of the athlete's associates were indicted in relation to the Aaron Hernandez murder case after they allegedly helped the New England Patriots' former star kill Odin Lloyd.

Ernest Wallace, 42, and Carlos Ortiz, 28, were earlier charged as accessories after the fact when Aaron Hernandez reportedly killed Odin L. Lloyd.

However, Bristol DA C. Samuel Sutter on Friday elevated the charges against the two in relation to Aaron Hernandez' murder case. The District Attorney's Office did not give any reason for the change, according to Boston Globe.
