Led Zeppelin Celebration Day Declared: New Zed Zeppelin Songs Unleashed, A `Whole Lotta’ Led Zeppelin Coming At Us [VIDEO]

Led Zeppelin is not reuniting, so get that outta your head. The band that Keith Moon declared would go down like a Led Zeppelin is showing their fans a "Whole Lotta Love" with a new reissue that will have nuggets of unreleased tunes like so much custard pie.

Legendary rockers Led Zeppelin announced that they will include previously unreleased tunes on the reissues of their nine studio albums. The band says an early version of "Whole Lotta Love" is one of these gems.

Jimmy Page, guitarist extraordinaire who rose up through London's recording studios to reform The Yardbirds into The New Yardbirds into Led Zeppelin, is doing the remastering himself. The reissue will be coming at you on June 3, starting  with deluxe editions of "Led Zeppelin", "Led Zeppelin II" and "Led Zeppelin III." These will be two-disc CDs, the remastered original classic and one disc of unreleased music from the sessions.

In the statement from Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, who played the electric guitar on Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual" as well as giving Martin Barre from Jethro Tull the evil eye when Barre played the "Aqualung" solo in one take, is quoted as saying "The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin. It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded at the time."

Also included on the CD for the 1969 debut album "Led Zeppelin" will be a previously unreleased performance Zep did at the Olympia Theatre in Paris in October 1969. The CD will have nine of those songs, including a version of "Dazed And Confused" that slow burns for fifteen minutes.

"Led Zeppelin II" is the album that had "Ramble On" and "Heartbreaker" and "Whole Lotta Love."  "Led Zeppelin III" will include outtakes and "Jennings Farm Blues", "Bathroom Sound" and "Keys To The Highway/Trouble In Mind" which have never been heard outside of bootlegs. And low quality bootlegs at that.
