‘Infinite Challenge’ Speed Racer Special Won’t Be Airing Until July

MBC's "Infinite Challenge" speed racer special has been pushed to July.

"Speed Racer" is a long term 2014 project that aimed for participation in the 'Korea Speed Festival' that takes place in May. On April 23rd Gil received a DUI and left the show, and there's been interest as to whether or not they would proceed with the special. However, due to the Sewol disaster, the KSF events have been pushed to July. As such, the project has naturally been delayed to July as well.

One MBC rep stated, "Because of the Sewol disaster, the Korea Speed Festival which was scheduled for May 23rd, 24th, and 26th in Songdo, Incheon has been pushed to sometime in July. We will get the exact scheduled soon, and 'Infinite Challenge' members will continue practicing car racing so that they can achieve good marks no matter when they participate in the festival."

After Gil left "Infinite Challenge," MBC decided to continue shooting with just 6 cast members. Gil's appearance will be edited out of the videos. Three speed racer specials have aired from March 22nd to April 12th so far.
