The 2nd DramaFever Awards will be held today, May 1, in New York at the Highline Ballroom.

There will be 13 categories in which dramas and actors will have the opportunity to win awards. 

There will also be special guests at this year's show including actress Park Shin Hye, Chris Wang and more.

The DramaFever Awards began in February 2013, allowing the opportunity for fans to vote for their favorite dramas, actors and actresses from the previous year. 

DramaFever's fans generated over 500,000 votes in under a month of voting last year, according to DramaFever's wikipedia page. This year, the voting platform got even bigger. 

Fans and viewers had 6 weeks until March 31, 2014 to vote on each of the categories for the award ceremony this year, reports PR Web. 

DramaFever reportedly got over 1M votes by fans for 2013, doubling the number of votes from last year. 

The 2nd Annuel DramaFever Awards are set to recognize the breakthrough performances of more South Korean celebrities. Last year, the spotlight was on Lee Min Ho, Yoon Eun Hye and Yeo Gin Goon. 

"There has been an explosive appetite among Americans for Asian dramas and a fanatic fascination with the international pop stars, not to mention the performances and creative talent emerging from the Asian markets," stated Suk Park, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of DramaFever.
