Hugh Jackman 'Bulge' Nearly Got Slashed By Wolverine's Metal Claws While Filming Nude Scene! 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' Actor Glad That He's Now Using Plastic Claws

The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' cast members not only encounter hazardous conditions on-screen but also when the cameras stop rolling. For instance, Hugh Jackman's "bulge" almost got slashed because of the metal claws that he's using for his character Wolverine.

As per the New York Daily News, Hugh Jackman's "bulge" had a close call during the filming of a nude scene for the 'X-Men: Days of Future Past': "There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set. I ran around the corner and the female members of the crew were gathered there."

Being fully aware that his manhood has been exposed to the women on set, the 45-year-old Jackman attempted to cover himself forgetting that he was still wearing Wolverine's metal claws: "I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh, thankfully. The metal claws had to go - you can't have bits and pieces flying off."

Recognizing the risk that comes with Wolverine's claws, the production team opted to have plastic claws. His shyness in the 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is different from his brazenness when he visited a local Japanese hot spring in July 2013.

"I'm getting so hot and I'm using the towel they gave me to dip into the cold water and put it on my head and I was getting very strange looks from everybody. I was feeling uncomfortable and finally this guy in the tub grunts and points to my head and then grunts and points to my private parts. Finally, I realized the towel was meant to be covering my privates and I'd spent about an hour just waltzing around this place with this thing in one hand and my beer in my other!" said the Australian actor.

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' will hit theater screens on May 22.
