Kurt Cobain Crime Scene Note Written By Courtney Love; Seattle Police Won’t Reopen Kurt Cobain Death Case, But Courtney Love’s Father Will [VIDEO]

Kurt Cobain's crime scene note was written by Courtney Love, says one of the foremost experts on the grunge rock icon. Police released a note that was found in Kurt Cobain's wallet when they discovered his body. The note appeared to be critical of Courtney Love, Cobain's wife.

Charles R Cross, who has written several books on Kurt Cobain, says Courtney Love told him that she had written the notes that mocked his wedding vows.

Seattle author Cross said Love emailed him to say she wrote the note and that she gave it to Cobain before their wedding in 1991. Charles R Cross wrote the biography Heavier Than Heaven. Cross told the press "The note was promoted as Kurt mocking their wedding vows three years after they were married. It just doesn't make any sense."

Kurt Cobain, the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for the 90s rock band Nirvana, said a lot in very few albums, but we are still listening and trying to make sense of some of his words. The Seattle Police just released a letter he wrote shortly before his death where, Kurt Cobain mocks Courtney, saying "She's a Bitch With Zits" and calling her his "lawful shredded wife." It reads like some of his lyrics.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was discovered dead in his Seattle home twenty years ago. The victim of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot, despite much speculation from conspiracy theorists. Police released a note that was found in his wallet that had been kept private until now. Seattle police say the letter found in Kurt Cobain's wallet at the time of his death on April 8, 1994. At the time, the note was collected, logged into evidence but never before made public.

A line from the letter says "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife... Even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all (your) money for doping and whoring..."

Cobain's letter is written on stationery from the Phoenix Hotel near San Francisco.  It is very different from the suicide note found by Cobain's body which calls Courtney Love a "goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy."

The Seattle Police Department reexamined Cobain's death to mark its 20th anniversary. Seattle Police Department Cold Case Detective Mike Ciesynski studied conspiracy documentaries, articles and TV shows about Cobain's death.  He said he have found no evidence that would justify reopening the case.

In a statement Ciesynski said "We knew with the 20th anniversary coming up and we knew there was going to be a lot of media interest. I've been a detective in homicide for 20 years and I've been in the cold case unit for 10 years. Most of the cases I work on, I look for something that wasn't done [in the investigation] in the past. ... There were so many conspiracy theories out there, it was good judgment on their behalf to hold to this."

Courtney Love's father claims he can prove his daughter was linked to Kurt Cobain's death. Hank Harrison is convinced his rock-star daughter killed Cobain. Hank Harrison told RadarOnline "No doubt she was capable. I can't prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty."

Harrison, who managed The Grateful Dead, has been estranged from Love for years, but says they bonded over drugs when she was a teenager. In 2004, he said of Love "She's a psychopath, she has a sociopathic personality like I do. I don't know who killed him. I know who benefited from his death: my daughter, for one."

The Seattle Police review confirmed the King County Medical Examiner's finding that Cobain died by suicide, shooting himself after taking what would have likely been a lethal dose of heroin.
