The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie cast made an appearance at the MET Gala 2014 on Monday evening in NYC. Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora dazzled in glitter and gloves but did the "Fifty Shades of Grey" leading ladies' fashion choices put them in the best or worst dressed categories for the MET Gala 2014? Check out the photos above!
Dakota Johnson opted for a Jason Wu number with a strappy and glittery tank paired with a navy blue, floor-length skirt. Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shades of Grey," accessorized with over-the-elbow black satin gloves. While any of the pieces on their own are gorgeous, putting all the different fabrics, textures, and colors together seemed a bit much. What do you think of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress's outfit?
Meanwhile, Rita Ora chose a champagne-colored dress by Donna Karen Atelier for the MET Gala 2014. The puffy tulle skirt, glittery bodice and piece of fabric wrapped around her arm were delicate on their own but all together may have been a bit much - especially with those shoes. Rita Ora, who will play Christian Grey's adopted sister Mia in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, paired her loud outfit with thigh-high strappy sandals.
Do you think the British singer pulled off the look?
As we previously reported, Rita Ora learned French and an American accent for her role as Christian Grey's sister.
"I prepped for the role by learning some French first of all, by learning an American accent and by really just not being me," Rita Ora told MTV News about preparing for her role as Mia in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.
"I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school," she added.
Sounds like Rita Ora put in a lot of work to get in character! Let's hope it pays off when the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie premieres on Valentine's Day 2015.
