Song:

There is no debating that EXO’s “Overdose” is an addictive song. It’s a combination of the beat and the lyrics that has really got many people hooked since the first listen. Certainly, that is how it got me singing from the first time I heard the track. And, of course, everyone loves a catchy chorus. In any case, the song itself automatically gets an A+ from me.

In the song “Overdose”, EXO sing about an addictive love from a woman who offers way too much. In the midst of the love, the singer has fallen completely for the other that there is really no cure. If anything, the feelings just grow increasingly strong as time passes. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, a typical love song at best, but it does not take away from the fact that it’s a good pop song. Just when I thought that they could not be able to come up with something better than “Growl”, this is definitely a track that can compete.

Music Video:

SM Entertainment music videos are not that difficult to get familiar with. There is a basic structure that they follow regularly and it shows with each video that they put out. This video shares very similar aesthetics to EXO’s previous ones, as well as other artists. Although, some appreciation must be given to the camera work.

If there is one thing that EXO is successful in delivering apart from great tracks is enthralling choreography. These well-thought out and original moves are something of an expectation from the group. They have yet to disappoint with their intricate choreography, and it does allow fans to wonder what else they have in store next.

The choreography and song are enough to win you over. Also, it doesn’t hurt that the boys are looking extra delectable in this video.
