Acting Idol Group 5urprise Will Release An Album Later This Year

There are idol groups popping up left and right, but it's rare to find an idol-acting group. 5urprise is an up-and-coming actors group, and now the five members are going to release a new song.

5urprise's five members are Seo Kang Joon, Gong Myung, Yoo Il, Kim Tae Woo, and Lee Tae Hwan. The group debuted in 2013, as a group of idols who were primarily trained to be actors, but the members are also able to sing, and will appear in advertisements and variety shows.

5urprise debuted on a drama-toon called See You After School last September.

The give first released a song for See You After School, "Hey U Come On," but 5urprise's upcoming album will be the first non-OST song that 5urprise will release.

5urprise, also written as Surprise, is currently working on its upcoming album and will release it during the second half of this year.

Fantagio, 5urprises's company, has revealed that the members are undergoing vocal training for their true debut as singers. While idols usually get acting lessons after debut, since they are already talented singers, 5urprise's members are doing things a bit differently.

Fans have become more and more interested in 5urprise as the members take on more acting roles.

Seo Kang Joon is the most recognized member, and is currently appearing in the variety show Roommates, and appeared in the dramas Cunning Singly Lady. Good Doctor, and Suspicious Housekeeper.

The other members have appeared in dramas, movies, variety shows, and music videos. They have also appeared in Hello Venus's music videos, due to connections between the two group's agencies.

5urprise has plans to hold concerts after releasing the album, although 5urprise's company has released no release date at this time.
