Group Boyfriend To Make Comeback This June

Korea's idol group Boyfriend is currently preparing to make a comeback with a new mini album in June.

Boyfriend will be making their return in 1 year and 5 months and are expected to be making a comeback with an upgraded image.

"Boyfriend is finally ready to release its second mini-album in Korea," the group's agency, Starship Entertainment, confirmed.

Starship Entertainment also announced in a statement on May 22 that Boyfriend will be making a comeback next month and uploaded a teaser video on its official YouTube channel, according to MSN Entertainment XIN.

The video showed footage of the six members being welcomed by global fans at concerts in various locations, including Japan, the U.S. and South America.

The K-Pop group has been promoting in Japan this past year and has been ranking high on music charts in the country since they made their Japanese debut back in 2012.

Boyfriend's first Japanese single titled "Be My Shine" ranked No. 4 on Oricon's singles chart. Their hit Japanese single "My Avatar" was released on March 26, 2014 and ranked No. 6 in the music charts.

They also won the "Best 3 New Artist" award at the 27th Japan Gold Disk Awards.

The group was also the first Korean artist to hold a fan meeting in Puerto Rico.  They've been steadily progressing and developing their career, holding their first showcase within the U.S.

Starship Entertainment has been gaining a lot of attention as of late as they've continuously been launching comeback acts for their artists including those of K. Will, SISTAR and SoyouX Junggigo.

The agency reportedly hopes to continue their successful streak with the comeback of Boyfriend.

The six-member group debuted back in 2011, making them relatively new to the K-Pop scene.

Despite their fresh presence in the Korean music industry, Boyfriend has visited fans in Singapore, Taiwan, Bankgok, Chicago and Dallas.
