Choa Names 'Poker Face' And 'Telephone' As Crayon Pop's Favorite Lady Gaga Songs: Group Opening For Star In June

It's not every day that Lady Gaga calls to ask if you can open for her on tour.

In an interview with Dazed & Confused Magazine published on Thursday, Crayon Pop singer Heo "Choa" Min Jin recalled what receiving that news felt for her and her bandmates.

"The fans and the general public were surprised by the news we'd be opening for Lady Gaga since she is so famous and loved by so many fans," Choa said.

"We also couldn't believe it. It felt like it was a dream when we first heard. The public felt the same as us!"

Crayon Pop, who will open for Lady Gaga at 13 shows, starting June 26 during her North American tour, also revealed their personal favorite hits by the pop star in the interview.

"We like 'Poker Face' and 'Telephone' the best," Choa said. "The melodies are good and they are easy to sing along to. Most of all, they are so addictive."

It is not surprising that the hooky quality of Gaga's music is what appeals to Crayon Pop. The group rose to international prominence last year when the music video for their catchy hit single "Bar Bar Bar" went viral.

It was "Bar Bar Bar" that reportedly made Gaga a fan.

"We were called by Lady Gaga's management company at the beginning of this year," Choa recalled. "We heard she wanted to go on stage with us after watching 'Bar Bar Bar.'"

And though their first US shows are just over a month away, the singer says she and the other members of Crayon Pop never thought they'd tour America.

"To be honest, we never thought about going to the US seriously," she said.

"We're still not sure if we are popular enough to go there by ourselves. It can only happen if we get enough of a reaction and enough love from people there with our performances opening for Lady Gaga."
