NU'EST Hold First Official Japanese Press Conference: Group To Tour Japan This August!

Urban electro band NU'EST has been making their mark in the world of K-pop since debuting back in 2012.

The five-member group held their Japan debut press conference at Shibuya Tower Records on May 26. During the press conference, NU'EST revealed that they would be holding a tour in Japan this August.

Two members from the idol group, Ren and JR, participated in the event, which was held at six Tower Record Stores.

"We have finally made our official debut in Japan! We will continue to work hard and promote here and we hope that you all will continue to support us!," read an official band statement.

The recent press conference showcased the increasing popularity of NU'EST. The band members were reportedly surrounded by 100 reporteras and 200 fans who wanted to congratulate them on their debut in Japan.

Despite their busy schedule with the promotions and preparation for their debut in Japan, NU'EST hasn't forgotten about their work and fans in Korea.

The group will be releasing their "NU'EST BEST IN KOREA" album on July 30.

Other than Ren and JR NU'EST, which stands for New Established Style and Tempo, also includes members, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun. The group is signed with Pledis Entertainment and LOEN Entertainment in Korea and has established themselves in Taiwan with Warner Taiwan.

Since their debut, NU'EST has been nominated for the Golden Disk Awards and the Seoul Music Awards in 2013.

They won the "Best Male Rookie" award in 2012 at the Korean Updates Awards as well as the "Super Rookie Idol" award at Arirang's Simply K-Pop Awards in 2012.

NU'EST also won the "Top New Artist" award at the K-POP Lovers! Awards in 2012 as well.

The group is scheduled to perform at this year's Guam Live International Music Festival, which will be held on June 6 and 7 at the Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña, Guam, according to Philstar.
