Kate Middleton Wardrobe Malfunction: Butt Photo Embarrasses British Royal Family

Oh Kate Middleton. Not even you can escape the total embarrassment from a wardrobe malfunction. In Kate Middleton's latest trip to Australia, the Duchess gave the photographers something to click their shutters about. To put it gently, it was a Marilyn Monroe moment, to put it cruelly... well we won't go there. It turns out that a sudden gust from a departing helicopter disheveled Kate Middleton's dress and exposed a pair of bare butt cheeks. Her butt photo sent the British royal family up in frenzy as they tried to shush up the butt gossip online and on print.

Duchess Kate Middleton's choice of clothing that day was, as usual, impeccable. She chose a Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress in monochrome, which showed off her tiny waist and covered the lower half of her body in a modest A-line. But as many of us who have worn wrap dresses know, they are finicky clothing contraptions. They unwrap themselves, spring up with the slightest wind and more. One does need to (literally) watch one's behind in case of a wardrobe malfunction.

But unlike our butts, Kate Middleton's bare butt was much more in demand. On Tuesday, a German tabloid called Bild published the pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge's bare butt. Even the British tabloid, the Daily Mail called Bild's publication "a series of tasteless headlines."

Bild described the photo with a rather raunchy, but picturesque prose. "Photos show our favorite Duchess Kate, 32, in the Australian Blue Mountains. The rotor blades of the royal helicopter swirl the air so that Kate's summer dress blew up-giving a clear view of her beautiful bum!"

This is definitely reminiscent of the topless photos of Kate Middleton that a French tabloid ran in 2012. Except that was a personal wardrobe choice, not a malfunction.

This got the British royal family's knickers all twisted. They immediately employed their best attorneys to get this case sorted out before Kate Middleton's butt was exposed to the whole world. The photographer of the picture and the editor were charged and it was ruled that the photographs could never be published or sold again, according to Huffington Post.
