Michael Schumacher Update: ‘Schumi’s’ Full Recovery Decreases As He Spends 150th Day In Coma? Canada Grand Prix To Feature German F1 Champion’s Documentary

Michael Schumacher update reveals that the German F1 champion is now on his 150th day of medically induced coma while medical experts, who are not treating the race car driver, continue to express their concern over his full recovery. "Schumi's" condition will also be featured through a documentary that is slated for release on June 8 during the Canada Grand Prix.

In a report published in express.co.uk, the chief physician of the neuro-rehabilitation services of Evangelical Hospital located in Germany stated that Michael Schumacher's prolonged recovery could mean serious brain injury.

"You can never tell how quickly a patient with a brain injury is going to wake up. But the longer the recovery phase, one must conclude, means that the brain damage suffered must have been very serious." said Dr. Andreas Zieger.

Dr. Zieger is not the only medical practitioner who has expressed their opinion about the Michael Schumacher's condition.

Philippe Azouvi, French neurological professor, relayed to Focus Magazine about the chances of recovery for people in the same state as "Schumi."

"The only thing we can say is that, statistically, 30 percent of patients recover well from a severe brain injury, mild impairment affects 50 percent of them and 20 percent of them suffer from severe disabilities and remain dependent on constant help," said the professor.

Michael Schumacher update has been quiet for the past six weeks as his management team has not given any information of the German F1 champion's state.

Meanwhile, the race car champion will be featured in a tv documentary that is set to be shown during the Canada Grand Prix. It will chronicle how the skiing accident took place, his condition thereafter and his current state, reported news.de.

The half-hour documentary will be aired immediately after the race. Apart from Michael Schumacher updates, insights will also be provided for by Will Weber, former racing manager, and tennis legend Boris Becker.
