Last spring the world anxiously awaited the second international single from "Gangnam Style" star Psy and next week he is back for round three.

With the after-effects of the K-Pop phenomenon "Gangnam Style" still being felt now, nearly two years after the song's release (the video just reached 2 billion YouTube views as of May 31), Psy (real name Park Jae Sang) is hoping that his next single, "Hangover," will be his next big hit.

"We were very excited, but burdened," read a statement from Psy's agency YG Entertainment after "Gangnam Style" hit the never-before-seen two billion views mark on YouTube. "With a thankful heart, we will make the next comeback even better with a more fun concept."

The 36-year-old quirky Korean rapper has been working on his highly anticipated seventh album for quite some time now, but not wanting to keep his fans around the world waiting, he will drop his next song via digital single on June 9.

"Hangover" is said to have a different sound from Psy's previous releases, with this one falling more into a hip-hop genre.

As with his previous hits "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," "Hangover" is also expected to have a hilarious music video featuring cameos from Korean and international stars. Back in January, after photos were posted on various social media platforms, fans began to speculate that the new video will feature appearances by Psy's label-mates G-Dragon and 2NE1, as well as famed American rapper Snoop Dogg.

In an unprecedented move for a Korean artist, Psy will reveal the new track to the world during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, one of the US's top-rated late night shows. He will guest star alongside Snoop Dogg for the Game Night primetime special episode of the program that will air in conjunction with the NBA finals. At 7pm EST, the world premiere of the "Hangover" music video will be broadcast on the show.

Following the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the video will be uploaded YouTube and will be available for online purchase at midnight EST on June 9.
