Idol member Woohyun from the group INFINITE was involved in a car accident on June 3.

"On his way to film the KBS2TV drama 'High School,' Woohyun was involved in a car accident which involved his car slipping due to the rain on the highway to Incheon International Airport," a representative from Woolim Entertainment told news media OSEN.

The representative added, "He immediately received a check-up at the hospital, and they found he had no injuries. However, he's currently resting at the dorm due to shock from the accident."

Fans have reportedly continued to worry about the singer and actor because he had also recently injured his shoulder while filming for MBC's "Idol Futsal World Cup."

"It won't affect his promotions too much, but we'll watch over his physical status as he attends his schedule," Woohyun's agency stated.

Woohyun has been cast in the upcoming KBS2TV drama "High School," and will be taking on the role of Shin Woo Hyun, also known as "Mr. Popular" within school grounds.

"Since it's my first time playing a major role in a production, there is pressure. . .  But I am working hard to learn from my renowned sunbaenims [seniors] and will do my best so that I can contribute to the production," stated Woohyun, regarding his latest project.

"High School" follows the story of Shin Woo Hyun, who is saved by an angel, Lee Seul Bi (Kim Sae Ron) from a dangerous situation. The new drama series will run for twenty episodes and is set to premiere on June 27 at 8:55PM KST.

Currently, INFINITE is promoting their new single "Last Romeo."

The boy group will grace the upcoming issue of fashion and lifestyle magazine, The Celebrity.

During the interview with the magazine, Woohyun spoke of his experience writing two songs for his group.

"I have to put a lot of effort into songwriting. It's been hard, but extremely meaningful to me. I put so much work into writing songs that I think I might have even lost some hair in the process," stated the 23-year-old.
