World-star Psy's music video for his new single "Hangover" has been released.

"Hangover," however, has been receiving attention for its lack of easy-to-follow and subsequently addictive choreography, which both his previous singles "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" possessed.

The new music video was uploaded via Psy's official YouTube channel on the morning of June 9. With its portrayal of the Korean drinking culture and various Korean-like settings such as a billiards room, sauna, and karaoke room, the video has been capturing the attention and curiosity of national as well as international audiences.

It is safe to say that Psy's success has been definitely related to the popularity of his dance routines. In "Gangnam Style" we were able to follow the horse choreography whilst in "Gentleman" we had fun learning the hip dance. These addictive choreographies contributed to Psy's overall popularity and helped kick start and propel him to the international stage. Due to this, it was expected that Psy would implement yet another fun and addictive dance routine in his new single "Hangover"; but that wasn't the case. Throughout the music video we see no special dance move or choreography that catches the eye.

This is not a definite statement, however, since we haven't seen Psy perform his new single live or on stage yet; it is a statement solely based on his music video. It is definite, though, that "Hangover" presents a stark contrast from his past two hit singles since it concentrates more on Psy's vocals, raps and lyrics instead of his dance routine.

Despite all this, "Hangover" in its entirety is incredibly addicting. With the constant repetition of the word 'hangover' throughout the song and the various drinking scenes, it paints an aspect of Korean culture that is realistic, representative but also relatable to all those around the world.
