At the Cannes this year, as he presented his directorial debut, 'Lost River', he walked down the red carpet with the film's star, Christina Hendricks.

Maybe the newly minted director needed some distraction after his potential break up from Eva Mendes and with his film screening at the Cannes ended with booing from the audience. According to the Entertainment Weekly, "Boos reportedly drowned out the applause." The critical response to the film was mostly negative as well. The Telegraph's critic Tim Robey called Gosling's 'Lost River', a "crapocalypse." Yikes.
