LG G3 Release Date Hitting Verizon Wireless In The US On July 17, Specs Of Monster Phone Incl. 5.5" QHD Display, Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM

Announced almost a month ago, there has not been a specified LG G3 release date for other markets outside of South Korea. But now a new report points to an exact launch date for the new Android phablet.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a leaked document from Verizon Wireless courtesy of notorious leakster EV Leaks gave away the release date of the Android-powered handset, which would be on July 17. But before that, the device would first be available for pre-orders beginning on July 10.

While there are no further reports when the LG G3 will arrive to other US carriers, we're pretty sure it will hit the 'big four' which includes AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

But will the LG G3 be worth it?

As far as specs go, the LG G3 is the best Android smartphone that is released by any one of the bigger phone manufacturers in the world. It packs a 5.5-inch QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) display that is definitely the cream of the crop in the industry. Earlier this year, Vivo launched its own QHD handset, as well as Oppo when it announced the Find 7. However, we still cannot compare them from a trusted brand such as LG.

Inside specs include a Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot, a 13MP primary camera at the back with dual-LED flash and an additional laser sensor for better focus performance. In front is a 2MP shooter that can manage selfies and video calls.

In Korea, LG's newest flagship has already made its marked, having crossed the 100,000 boundary in just five days. The Samsung Galaxy S5, on the other hand, managed only about 70-80 thousand sold units in Korea with the same time frame.
