B2ST, currently one of the hottest idol groups leading the K-Pop sensation, brought back the smile of a 13 year old girl who is currently in a long fight against cancer. Seo Hyun, who has been suffering from her illness and its treatment, received a present from the members of B2ST that reminded her of what it feels like to have hope again.

It all began earlier this month when 'A Touching Story' was posted on the official B2ST fan club website. The person who posted the story identified himself as a missionary and wrote, 'Please help 13 year old girl Seo Hyun who is fighting against cancer.' At the time the posting was made, Seo Hyun was receiving chemotherapy for her 3rd stage cancer.

The writer continued, 'This beautiful little girl Seo Hyun had to cut her long hair and she won't even look in the mirror, let alone take off her hat even in bed. She is having a hard time speaking because of her harshly chapped lips and she lost so much weight because she can't eat. Seo Hyun is confused as to why this is happening to her and spends her days with sadness written all over her face. The only thing that would help her cheer up would be B2ST. Seo Hyun wants a personally signed photo of B2ST' and asked for support.

The posting was read by a significant amount of fans and was eventually delivered to the B2ST members themselves. As soon as they read about Seo Hyun, they sent Seo Hyun a gift. The gift included a signed CD as well as a letter written on their photo book. Although it was a small gift, it meant the world to Seo Hyun.

Seo Hyun sent a text message to a friend saying, 'B2ST members are the best. Doo Jun and Yo Sup wrote me a letter. The other members signed the CD for me. I'm so happy.'

The missionary who posted on the fan club website stated in a phone interview, 'Seo Hyun, who recently began puberty, was very depressed from receiving chemotherapy. However, she was ecstatic when she received the gift from B2ST and she seems to be remaining very positive. Thanks to B2ST, Seo Hyun completed her chemotherapy and will soon be returning to her home to continue her treatment there.'

Regarding the event, a representative from Cube Entertainment stated, 'It is kind of burdening for the world to find out about this because it was something that had to be done without any questioning. We have noticed that B2ST's fans have been involved with various charity events. B2ST members are very touched and inspired by their fans and they are trying their best to take part in whatever they can.'

Yang Yo Sup, who wrote a letter to Seo Hyun, stated, 'I am very grateful that Seo Hyun thought of us even when she was in so much pain. I really hope to meet her when she recovers and becomes healthy.'

B2ST and their fans are famous for their devotion to charity events. This past February, B2ST fans collected a total of 5835.9 KG of rice and 8036 briquettes to donate to the underprivileged. Yang Yo Sup's fans were also recognized in the media for raising money to help young children with incurable diseases. According to a representative of Cube Entertainment, there are many more charity events created by the fans of B2ST that have not been publicized.

Is it not only B2ST who are taking part in helping the underprivileged. Many other idol stars and their fans are part of an effort to help those who are less fortunate than they are. The volunteering/donating fans has become a culture created by K-Pop idols and their fans. Even in the midst of all the craze in the K-Pop competition, Korean artists are holding onto their optimistic mindset. In addition to their musical talents, K-Pop fans are constantly impressed by the idol stars' compassion.
