SHINee will be short one member for their upcoming concert in Jakarta.

Fellow idol member Onew will not be able to attend the event due to his recent surgery, according to SM Entertainment's official homepage.

"Onew will not be attending 'SHINee WORLD III in JAKARTA' on June 22," stated the singer's agency on June 22.

SM Entertainment explained that Onew recently received surgery for vocal cord polyp removal at a hospital in Seoul on June 3 and is currently still in the recovering state. The entertainment company reportedly asked for fans to remain patient as the singer regains his health.

"Onew is taking a break at the moment, and he does not have any problems in his daily life. However, he still needs more treatments," a representative stated on June 10.

Onew was cast in the musical "Singing in the Rain" back in April, but had to withdraw due to his surgery as well. The 24-year-old was unable to join his band members on their trip to Brazil where they filmed KBS' "Music Bank" at the World Cup, according to SBS Pop Asia.

SHINee recently visited Shanghai as part of their world tour. The members had previously visited fans in Korea, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Taiwan as well.

When SHINee arrived at the airport on May 31, the members were reportedly surrounded by fans who came out to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport to greet them.

During the course of their energetic performance, the boys performed 27 songs, including their hits "Lucifer," "Ring Ding Dong," "Sherlock" and "Dream Girl."

Despite the rainy weather, fans were seen lining up outside the concert hall in the early morning to see the idol members, according to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

The five-member boy band released the full version PV for their latest Japanese track "Lucky Star" on June 11, according to Allkpop.  The video showcases the bright, bubbly theme that is ongoing in their album.

The official release of "Lucky Star" is June 25.
