Thanks to the reality series "Roommate," the 2NEXO fandom has grown a lot, and 2NE1 and EXO fans are more active than ever in celebrating their idols.

Despite being from competing agencies (SM and YG Entertainment), there is a lot of overlap amongst EXO and 2NE1 fans, with many having equal bias for both.

With such fans adorably named 2NEXO, you can even find fan fiction and compilation videos about the two groups.

"I love 2NEXO," wrote Tera, a fan of both bands, wrote in a Kpopstarz article on the subject published on April 11. "It's just for fun!"

However, a particular practice that has garnered some controversy amongst 2NE1 and EXO fans is the 2NEXO fandom creating photoshopped pictures of members of the two K-pop groups together, often with a couple-like atmosphere.

Earlier in June, a series of photos surfaced online featuring the two groups together. The photos quickly went viral on social media platforms like Twitter.

"I'm happy that 2NEXO is getting attention but I'm worried for my 2NE1 girls to get more hate just because other fans don't like this ship," commented Louise under a 2NEXO article.

Currently, both Park Bom of 2NE1 and Chanyeol of EXO are starring in "Roommate," a reality series where 11 celebrities live under the same roof. Due 2NE1 and EXO's popularity, their interactions have become a topic of discussion amongst K-pop fans.

"I think she makes him more comfortable on the show because she has such a laid back personality too," wrote Babyprincess3121 on YouTube. "They seem to complement each other."

"I feel that it is more than a sister brother relationship," commented Jasmine Love after "Roommate" episode 7 premiered.

2NE1 is currently in Singapore preparing for their "All or Nothing" concert on June 28. On the same day, EXO will be performing at their own concert in Chongqing, China.
