With K-Pop becoming an international genre, idol groups with members who speak multiple languages are becoming more and more popular. While many idols speak two languages, there are only a handful who speak three for more fluently.

Henry Lau

The SM Entertainment solo artist and Super Junior-M member Henry is Chinese-Canadian, and picked up not only English and Mandarin from his upbringing, but also Cantonese and French. He's also exhibited knowledge of Taiwanese, Thai, and Japanese during his promotions.

Girls' Generation's Seohyun

SM Entertainment doesn't lack English speaking idols, or even idols who speak more than one language; every SM group has multiple members who speak more than one language. But Girls' Generation's youngest member Seohyun has shown a mastery of both Japanese and English, despite the fact that she is a native Korean who has never lived abroad in an English speaking country or Japan (unlike Tiffany, Jessica, and Sooyoung, who all have mastery of those languages.) Seohyun's capability is very impressive for this reason.

2PM's Nichkhun

A Thai-American born to a Thai-Chinese mother, Nichkhun was introduced to several languages prior to becoming a Korean idol. He grew up speaking Thai and English, and learned Korean before debuting as a member of 2PM. The singer has also exhibited his skills in Mandarin and Japanese. Even though he speaks these five languages to some degree, Nickhun has insisted that he only speaks English, Thai, and Korean fluently.

LEDApple's Hanbyul

LEDApple's vocalist Hanbyul goes by Jason in Australia, where he was born. As an Australian-Korean, Hanbyul grew up speaking Australian-English and Korean, and learned both French and Latin fluently. Even though Latin is a dead language, Hanbyul's expressed spoken fluency in all four languages.

U-KISS's Former Member Xander

Alexander Eusebio was born in Hong Kong to parents from Korea and Macau, and gained some fame for speaking seven languages. During his time as a U-KISS member, Xander showed knowledge of not only Korean and Cantonese, but also English, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese.
