A set of photos were released in a bulletin board in an online community titled, "G.O Quits School Because of Girls' Generation Tae Yeon." The photos showed screen captures of MBLAQ member G.O's appearance in MNet's 'Wide Entertainment News - MBLAQ Mini Player' from last year

During his appearance, G.O confessed, "I won second place at the National Singing Contest but I was shocked that the person who received 1st place was 2 years younger than I am." It turns out, the person who beat G.O was the leader of idol group Girls's Generation, Tae Yeon.

G.O continued, "I thought to myself, 'I can't go on like this, I have to go all-in on one thing' so I asked my parents to let me quit school in order to prepare to become a singer. A while later, I took the college entrance exam after studying on my own and started college."
