Ireland Baldwin and Angel Haze have confirmed that they are dating after months of Instagram PDA. The bigger question is, will Ireland's homophobic dad Alec Baldwin accept his daughter's girlfriend? Will we be hearing another case of Ireland Baldwin defending her homophobic dad? How will Angel Haze react?

Ireland Baldwin traded in her ex-boyfriend Slater Trout, a white paddle surfer, for Angel Haze, black 'Same Love' rapper. She broke up with Slater back in March saying to E! News that "I love him more than anything but I need to focus on myself right now".

It looks like "focus on myself" was a euphemism for "I found someone else"! She first met 22-year-old Angel Haze at a fashion week and has been posting pictures of them kissing, cuddling and, most importantly, brunching, since then.

The 'Same Love' rapper told The Independent, "An interracial gay couple, I mean that's just weird for America right now. We f**k and friends don't f**k. I have never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn't happen.But we do f**k and it's crazy and that's weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, 'What the hell?' But it happens".

Well, the only audience that Angel Haze really has to worry about is her 18-year-old girlfriend's hot-tempered, and possibly homophobic dad Alec Baldwin.

Alec Baldwin has had a tempestuous year, shouting homophobic slurs at a photographer, getting fired from his job and announcing his resignation from public life on New York Magazine. Despite all this, his daughter was quick to rise to his defense.

"It takes a lot of strength for someone to release their anger," the model tweeted. "It takes a lot of strength and SUPPORT for someone to grow and become a better person. We all say things we don't mean. We all say things we can't take back."

"For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously," she continued. "My dad is far from a homophobe or a racist."

Let's hope that's true. Otherwise, the bisexual model will be getting another harsh voicemail from her dad, calling her a "rude, thoughtless pig".

But love may be just enough to carry Ireland through challenging times with her dad. She spends a lot of time with the rapper, uploading pictures of her girlfriend with a caption that reads "you're unreal".
