Germany better watch! Algeria is out for revenge. In 1982 Algeria conceded to Germany in a match that is now called "Disgrace of Gijon", losing out to advance in the World Cup.

Germany really have nothing to worry about the African team. The three-time World Cup champions should rather count their blessings that they didn't meet a more reputed team.

But the German coach Joachim Loew refused to take Algeria as an easier team to play against in the round of 16.

He said at a press conference, "At a World Cup, there are no desirable opponents and no easy opponents, especially not in the knockout matches. The Algerians have proven that they are an uncomfortable rival. We'll be well prepared."

With Ramadan though, wouldn't the Algerian players be starving on the field? Luckily, they are excused from taking part in the feasting.

According to the USA Today, the Algerian coach said that "his players would receive a special dispensation from a traveling imam to avoid fasting ahead of the Germany game".

He also acknowledged German team's skills. "I love it as a coach to see my team fighting like this," Halilhodzic said after the match with Russia. "(Germany) are a huge team. It's going to be very complicated for us. We are small Algeria against big Germany."
