Girl group AOA is taking over Asia by storm.

The idol group's new song, "Short Hair," has topped headlines on four of the most popular Chinese portal sites.

"Short Hair" was also seen at No. 2 on the China Yin Yue Tai chart as well, receiving quite a bit of attention, and launching their official "in" in the Chinese music industry.

The group was also seen at No. 3 on the Japan Tower Record World Chart Daily, grasping the hearts of their Japanese fans as well.

Their previous hit song, "Miniskirt," has also been making it up to the top of the charts since their recent comeback as well.

The girls of AOA have been getting the love of fans in Korea, especially after their short but sweet appearance on the latest episode of the variety show "1 Night 2 Days."

Although the members of the K-pop girl disappointed the all-male cast members of the entertainment show by leaving mid-show, their mere presence seems to have satisfied the cast.

"The members said they wanted a female guest, so this was a quick appearance. We'll start the actual filming now," the producers told them.

The members of AOA got together with fellow girl groups, Girl's Day and BESTie, to perform Girls' Generation's "Mr. Mr" on the popular Korean music program "Music Bank" on June 27, according to Allkpop.

"Girl's Day & AOA & BESTie! The top girl groups that have gathered together for the special stage! What do their hand motions in the photo mean? It will be revealed on 6/27 at 6:30PM KST," tweeted "Music Bank" the day before the performance, along with a picture of all the members posing together in the dance studio.

AOA's mini album "Shot Hair" consists of tracks "Fantasy," "Short Hair," "Joa Yo!," "Soulmate," and "You Know That."

One track that has stood out is "You Know That," the song that sets itself apart from the rather mid-tempo ballads that are consistent throughout the rest of the album.

"There's an energy and urgency to 'You Know That' that makes you just want to dance. I hear a horn section, drums, guitars - all of these combine to make a solid song. A rapid fire rap section serves to keep the energy up and the heart pumping," stated a review on the Korean music website.
