KARA To Make Comeback This Summer In Both Korea-Japan With New Member Youngji

Korean girl group KARA will finally be making a comeback this summer as a four-member group.

Youngji was chosen as the new member of KARA on July 1 through the show, the "KARA Project."

After news of the new member surfaced, KARA announced that they would work hard as a new group and asked fans to continue to support them.

"I am so happy to be part of KARA. I want to thank the other contestants from the show and will never forget all the time we had together," stated the new member of KARA during an interview after the "KARA Project" ended.

Youngji added, "I hope to work hard so as not to ruin the image of KARA and will continue to remember and thank all those that helped me get to where I am now."

KARA revealed on their Japanese site that they plan to release a new song in both Korea and Japan on August 27 before starting their "KARA 3rd JAPAN TOUR 2014" in the fall.

This will be the group's first comeback as a four-member group.

The original three members of KARA, Park Gyu-ri, Goo Ha-ra and Han Seung-yeon, experienced a difficult time after former idol members Kang Jiyoung and Jung Nicole left the group after their contracts ended.

The members of KARA took the time to apologize to fans, called the Kamilias, for the adjustments they had to make throughout the changes the idol group has been experiencing since two members left.

"Things I want to say. Things I want to clear up. Things I want to say in comfort. There are so many of them, but it's not easy to solve everything through text. Once again, that meaning got retranslated and became another scar, making it hard for my people," wrote Park Gyu ri on her Twitter account.

She added, "Our Kamilias are always getting hurt. I'm sorry."
