Heart2Heart Singer Chad Future On His New Single 'Got It Figured Out' Featuring Aron Of NU'EST [EXCLUSIVE]

Heart2Heart singer Chad Future released his first solo EP this week, entitled "The First Mini Album," and it looks like he's "Got it Figured Out." The Detroit-born K-pop singer's leadoff single "VIXX Ravi (Rock The World)" has received over 300,000 views on YouTube.

For his new single, "Got It Figured Out," Chad pulled in Aron from the K-pop boy band Nu'est and producer Ichiro Suezawa formerly of the hitmaking team Duble Sidekick.

"Aron is a really great friend and a very talented artist," Chad told K-popStarz on Wednesday in an exclusive interview.

"We became close friends quickly because he's actually an LA native. So, there was no real language or cultural barriers for us to cross, right off the bat. He's a very skilled MC and rapper, I'm really grateful for our collaboration."

Chad Future, whose real name is David Lehre, was the lead rapper and singer of Heart2Heart, a five-member boy band, who were the protégés of Lance Bass of 90s boy band N'Sync.

Future describes his music as "AK-Pop" or  "American music inspired by K-pop."

"My music is a bit of a mix between the American and Korean Style," he explained. "But my influences as an artist are a lot different than most K-pop boy bands."

And despite some nasty blowback from some diehard K-pop fans who have accused Future of attempting to capitalize on the Hallyu trend, the singer claims he hasn't lost his love for the genre.

"I have a lot of favorite K-pop artists and respect for everyone in the industry," Future said.

"If I had a pick a few, I would say Big Bang, 2NE1, B.A.P, Nu'est, VIXX, Girls' Generation, A Pink, K.Will, Got7, Akdong Musician and many more. The K-pop scene as a whole is producing amazing work and still delivering the best quality songs and music videos across the globe."

A high level of quality that Future credits to that legendary Korean work ethic.

"I believe K-pop artists have a great work ethic and lots of focus," he said. "They are very respectful and disciplined in their work habits."

Future, who has been singing and rapping for over a decade, also credits Western artists Pharrell Williams, will.i.am and Eminem as shaping his own sound.

"I really love a lot of things about both American and Korean music, so I do my best to translate the best qualities from each and give the fans something a little bit different," Future said.

The vocalist is currently hard at work on his followup album with top-notch songwriters like After Romeo's Drew Ryan Scott, who has written songs for EXO and Girls' Generation. It's a process Future describes as enjoyable.

"I enjoy songwriting together with other people," he said. "It makes it a lot more fun and enjoyable."

But his favorite moments as a performer happen onstage.

"For me, live is a better feeling because I love to connect with my fans, see them smiling and to give them a great performance and experience," he said.

For Future, it's critical that his listeners have a good time.

"I hope my music inspires people and also makes people have fun while listening," he said.
