U.S. FUSE TV Shows Positive Response Towards f(x)'s New Song, 'Red Light'

f(x) has decided to go especially fierce this summer with their track "Red Light."

Fuse TV published an article titled "f(x) Are K-Pop's top Hipsters With New Single 'Red Light,'" drawing attention to the idol group's recent comeback.

This isn't the first time Fuse put the spotlight on f(x). Back in 2013, the music outlet had also chosen the girl group for the "2013 Best Album 41," making them the only Asian artist on the list.

Their new track, "Red Light," features an energetic electronic house beat which Fuse reportedly found to be a bit different than the traditional pop that most K-pop groups gravitate towards.

The sexy music video was released on July 3 and has been receiving an overwhelming amount of attention online.

The MV for "Red Light" surpassed 2 million hits on YouTube in less than 24 hours, according to a press release from SM Entertainment on Friday.

The music video has gathered more than 2.25 million YouTube views as of Friday afternoon, according to the Korea Herald.

"Red Light" is the first release from the popular f(x) in nearly a year after the ladies returned to the industry with their second album titled "Pink Tape."

The group's album will officially be released on and offline on July 7.

f(x) has really shown fans the unexpected with their newest track. Jeff Benjamin of Fuse TV actually did a perfect job describing the specifics of the sensual, much darker music video.

"'Red Light' opens with a production mixing a ticking clock, stadium-sized clapping and phat bass line as the girls spit confident coos with a few mantras peppered in. By the one-minute mark, the track has evolved to its hyperactive, synth-pop chorus featuring the girls' signature harmonies embellished with digitally-altered vocal blips and bloops," wrote Benjamin.

He added, "It's still pop but all done in a clever way that makes it all feel way cooler than your typical bubblegum jam and forces you to listen very carefully for all the sonic elements."
