2PM Members Solo Promotions Receive Much Attention in Japan

K-pop group 2PM has managed to grasp the hearts of fans across Asia.

The six-member boy group has become especially popular in Japan as of late.

2PM caught the attention of the Japanese media after performing at Tokyo Dome as well as releasing multiples albums and ranking No. 1 with the DVD of their tour.

The idol group's most recent album, "GENESIS OF 2PM," which was 2PM's third Japanese studio album, was the first Oricon Chart #1 debut album of 2014, according to Yahoo Entertainment Malaysia.

"GENESIS OF 2PM" became such a success, debuting at No. 1 on both the Oricon Daily Chart and Oricon Weekly Chart, that the album was released in Korea earlier this year as well.

The members of 2PM, which includes Jun. K, Nichkun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung, have been gaining support and interest from music critics and fans for the release of their own solo albums.

Member Junho released his second solo album, titled "FEEL," on July 9, selling 27,939 copies and ranking No. 1 on the album daily chart. The idol member also topped the Towers Records daily sales chart and the HMV Asian music category as well.

2PM's Jun.K released his first solo Japan album, "LOVE & HATE," this past May and sold 21,881 copies. He also made a mark on the music industry in Japan, ranking No. 1 on the album daily chart as well.

Jun.K produced and wrote his entire solo album, giving fans a snippet of how extensive his skills are as a musician and producer.

Each member of 2PM is known for their tough charisma, often known as the "beastly idols" within the K-pop world. Whether they perform as a team or solo, they are able to showcase each member's individual style, making them a group with many different dimensions, which can be hard to find in the Korean music industry.

Nichkhun recently revealed spoilers regarding the group's upcoming album.

"I spend more of my time in the gym nowadays, but there won't be any nudity in the upcoming album," stated the idol member, according to the Korea Herald.

He added, "The producing on our songs this time was done by Jun. K. When we make our comeback, please sing and dance along with us."
