Girls' Generation Yoona Denies Role In 'Nodame Cantabile' And Chooses To Be In A Movie Role

Previously, news was released regarding Girls' Generations' Yoona taking the female lead role of the Korean remake of the Japanese drama series, 'Nodame Cantabile.' Though, it has been revealed that Yoona denied the offer, according to Allkpop. Instead, Yoona will hit the movie screens and make her debut in a Korean-Chinese romantic comedy movie titled 'Goodbye Ani.'

SM Entertainment stated the news to Korean media outlet OSEN on July 14th, "'Nodame Cantabile' was one of many offers she had received; after completing her review of it, she has ultimately turned it down."

According to reports, Girls' Generations' Yoona will play as Ani; which her character personality is a bright and lovable woman. The crew will initiate filming later this year. While Yoona prepares for her upcoming movie screen debut, Girls' Generation just recently wrapped up their tour in Japan.

Thousands of SONES attended their concert; which they once again set the record for the K-Pop idol group with the most fan attendance. Girls' Generation initiated their Japan tour on April 26th in Fukuoka. Afterwards, the ladies moved to each prefecture which included Kobe, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and more. The girls attended a total of seven cities and held seven concerts.

Sooyoung stated during their interview with news media Billboard, "Since 2014 is the 'Year of the Horse,' we plan to run energetically like a horse. Starting with our new mini album, there are many plans ahead. In appreciation for the fans who have waited our comeback for a long time, we plan to do lots of performances throughout the year."

Their tour in Japan was named, "GIRLS' GENERATION~LOVE & PEACE~ JAPAN 3rd Tour"; which the girls brought in a whopping 200,000 fans. During their concert, Girls' Generation performed a total of twenty eight songs during their three hour concerts; which included "Gee," "Genie," "I Got A Boy," "Mr. Mr," "Motorcycle," "Gossip Girls," "Karma Butterfly," "Lips," "Paparazzi," "Flower Power" and "Galaxy Supernova," according to Allkpop. Also, they performed their new single titled, "Indestructible"; which was released on July 23rd. Girls' Generation performed the slow ballad single on July 11 - 13, 2014.
