'The Vampire Diaries' star Paul Wesley recently charmed his lady love Phoebe Tonkin on her 25^th birthday. The 31-year-old actor opted to have an English getaway with his girlfriend on July 11. The couple was photographed cuddling just outside the Chiltern Firehouse in London.

Three days prior to Tonkin's special day, the 'Vampire Diaries' star Paul Wesley posted a photo taken from the airport informing his fans about his 48-hour getaway. Tonkin's sister, Abby, also tagged along and even described herself as the "third wheel."

On July 13, the 'Originals' actress also shared a photo of her with a plate of sweets bearing the words "Happy Birthday." The Australian beauty described it as the "best birthday ever."

The Polish actor appears to be making the most out of his time with Tonkin before the sixth season of 'Vampire Diaries' airs. It has been confirmed that Wesley would direct several episodes for the season previously described by its producer as an "emotional roller coaster."

In the 'Vampire Diaries' season 6, Wesley's character, Stefan, will be making a tough choice. Fans are speculating whether his choice involves Elena and Caroline. With Damon out of the picture, will the Salvatore brother get the chance to reignite his romance with Elena? His blooming romance with Caroline should be considered as well.

'The Vampire Diaries' season 6 premiere airs in October. Tonkin, on the other hand can be continuously seen on 'The Originals' every Monday night on the CW Network.
