The news of 'Sam & Cat' cancelled just after one season might have left fans disheartened but not Ariana Grande. As opposed to Jenette McCurdy who has been very vocal with her disappointment over Nickelodeon's management, Grande opted to remain silent and focus on her career.

The 20-year-old songstress penned a lengthy tweet regarding the cancellation of 'Sam & Cat:' "So the news is out about Sam & Cat. I felt it wasn't my place to make any sort of announcement so I kept quiet until now. I want to thank Nickelodeon for making a childhood dream of mine come true, for being a family to me, for being so accommodating and supportive of my multitasking with my music career, and for of course introducing me to many of my fans however many years ago."

She also thanked producer Dan Schneider for letting her play the role of Cat whom she praised for "her appreciation for life and everybody she encounters. Her passion and genuine excitement for the little things that most people dread like school projects and work" and for seeing "negative obstacles as opportunities to make things good."

Many fans were stunned when 'Sam & Cat' was cancelled as it nabbed the 'Favorite TV Show' award in Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2014. Several reasons have been linked to the show's cancellation and one of them was Ariana Grande and Jenette McCurdy's alleged feud.

Apart from the network's alleged treatment of McCurdy's racy selfies, Grande reportedly receives a bigger paycheck than her co-star. McCurdy similarly wrote a letter about a friend who allegedly manipulated her. This left fans wondering whether the bad friend was Grande.

The network already confirmed that the final episode of 'Sam & Cat' will be titled "#GettinWiggy."

"Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat. We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best," read the network's statement.
