5 K-Pop Idols Who Could Make It In Hollywood

As K-Pop and the Korean entertainment industry become more popular globally, Korean stars are beginning to collaborate with foreign entertainment industries. A few actors have made their way into Hollywood, but so far Rain and BoA are the only idols to try their hand at acting. Here are a few idols that could be likely candidates if they ever decided to try to make their way in Hollywood.

Girls' Generation's Tiffany

With an eyesmile that caught the attention of The New Yorker and a native fluency of English, Tiffany is a likely candidate to be an actress. If she hadn't come to Korea, Tiffany could have easily been a Disney Channel princess or provided the vocals to a Disney Princess, but now, based on her MC-ing experience, Tiffany would most likely be a good fit for hosting an entertainment television show. She could then use that as a starting point to try actiong-if she so desires, even though she hasn't really acted in Korea.

Of course, if that fails, she could always head to Broadway for a career in musicals!

Beast's Junhyung

While he's the main rapper in Beast, Junhyung's real claim to fame is being a producer. After producing a countless number of songs in Korea, Junhyung would easily be able to transition to the United States and produce a wide range of music, from rap to hip-hop to dance, that would help him gain recognition as not only a producer but as an artist. Yong Junhyung, coming to the airwaves soon!

4Minute's HyunA

HyunA was already introduced to the US in "Gangnam Style," but if she studied enough English and decided to try her hand at acting, HyunA could become a modern-day Korean Marilyn Monroe. While HyunA's known as a sex symbol, her playful personality and wide-eyed appearance give her an innocent appeal that is reminiscent of Monroe's breathless, sweet personality.

Henry Lau

Henry literally has everything going for him. He speaks English already, has acted in an English language movie (Final Recipe,) is hilarious on variety shows, and is a musical genius. There's not a single one place for Henry in Hollywood- he really would have free range of the entire entertainment industry, if he decided to try to break into it.

Big Bang's G-Dragon

He would end up being the male Lady Gaga, there's no way really around it. G-Dragon's too far out there to be an average musician in Hollywood; he'll have to give things 10,000% to make an American audience realize that he's not just a pretty boy but also an extremely serious, creative, and controversial rapper. He also is pretty decent at English, and has already started making his way into the Hollywood market and worked with Skrillex.
