Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: This Metal-Donned Asus Slate Brings High-End Specs And Affordable Pricing Together

There aren't a lot of Upcoming Android tablets 2014, and the ones which have been announced are mostly from local brands or Samsung slates ranging from high-end to entry-level.

But in case you are looking for something new as your device, and a tablet that both packs a sleek design and high-end specs, then this one from Asus may be the perfect option for you. 

Announced at the IFA event in Berlin last week, the Asus Memo Pad 7 is an Android tablet that packs enough specs to carry out memory and graphics intensive tasks. 

In the report by GSM Arena, the device boasts a premium metal build where it is made up of 50 percent duralumin, and 34 percent fiberglass. 

Aside from the outside aesthetics which surely passes the test, the Asus Memo Pad 7 also boasts some pretty serious high-end specs inside. The device packs a 7-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 2GB RAM, an Intel Z3560 quad-core processor with Burst clock speed up to 1.83GHz, and an option for either a 16GB or 32GB built-in storage. 

In case 32GB is still not enough, the Memo Pad 7 has a microSD card slot that can support up to 64GB of expanded memory. 

At the back of the device is a decent 5MP shooter while a 2MP snapper graces the front. The Android-powered slate runs on Android 4.4 Kit Kat and will be available in Wi-Fi only and LTE editions. 

In the report, the Asus slate will be available before the holiday season kicks off.
