Tablo Announces New Epik High Album Is Complete Via Twitter
It's official: Tablo, leader of hip-hop group Epik High, announced via Twitter on September 13, 2014 that the group will return with a new album soon. The message currently has over 3 thousands retweets and likes!
Epik High's last release was the well-received album 99, in October 2012 with YG Entertainment. This comeback is the second album released with YG Entertainment and will also be the first album released since band mates Mithra Jin (Sleeping M) and DJ Tukutz (Street T) completed conscription. At the time of this publication, an official release date for this album is not available.
Netizens took to social media accounts and joined in on the collective excitement for Epik High's return. One fan on Twitter said, "Good things are worth waiting for." Another chimed in, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder, hope you'll receive our growing love with the album."
Tablo stayed in the spotlight the majority of the year with his charismatic daughter (and G-Dragon fangirl) Haru, on Superman is Back (Hangul: 슈í¼ë§¨ì´ ëŒì•„왔다; also called The Return of Superman and Superman Returns). He also recorded a version of BIGBANG's Taeyang's wildly popular song, "Eyes, Nose Lips," delivering his rap verses in English.
Earlier this year, the group re-released a recording of their song "Without You." The single release featured Chinese singer Bibi Zhou and had new English lyrics. Currently, they've been rocking the stage with felow YG labelmates during the YG Family 2014 Galaxy Tour: Power concert series.
