Boyfriend’s Donghyun Cast In 2015 Production Of Musical ‘Bachelor’s Vegetable Store’ In Japan

Idol group Boyfriend’s leader Donghyun has been casted for the musical ‘Bachelor’s Vegetable Store’ Japan showing.

Donghyun will be performing at Japan’s Tokyo Sunshine Theater from February 16-22 as the role of Choi Yun Min.

On December 11, producers of the musical stated that Boyfriend is a popular group in Japan and have been seen on the Oricon charts. They also stated that Donghyun had shown great acting skills last year through the musical ‘1000th Man’ in Shibuya and decided to cast him for this show.

Donghyun also made a cameo role in a drama and worked on his acting skills whenever he had the chance. He is slowly but surely becoming recognized for his acting and stated that he hopes to show more stable acting with this second musical.

This musical was originally a Korean drama that gained much attention in Japan and was later made into a musical in 2013. The Korean version of this musical was created first in 2008.

It was also recently revealed that Teen Top Ricky and 100% Rokhyun has been double casted for the role of Chul Jin and make their debut as musical actors.

Ticket sales for the musical will begin on December 10 at 2PM KST through Interpark.

On the other hand, Boyfriend has completed their first solo concert in Korea and is currently preparing for their overseas activities.

Idol group Boyfriend debuted in 2011 under Starship Entertainment and are also the first idol group to have twin members. They are a 6 member group and debuted with their single, Boyfriend, on Mnet “M! Countdown.”

They are also the first K-Pop idol group to perform in Puerto Rico. They also visited the U.S. and performed in Chicago and Dallas this past March. This is the first time they have visited the U.S. as well.

In October, they made a comeback with their album, Witch.
