Watch New 'Comical Psychosomatic Medicine' Anime Trailer That Parodies 'Youkai Watch'

Mental health can sometimes be a divisive issue when there is a lack of understanding about different illnesses.

Who would have thought the place to learn about mental health would be through a comedy anime series?

An all new trailer for web anime series "Comical Psychosomatic Medicine" is now available to stream online. The trailer features a general character introduction, with a parody reference to popular franchise "Youkai Watch." Fans can see the video for themselves below.

While there has been some uncertainty on how exactly comedy can go with mental illness, there still appear to be some fans willing to give it a chance:

"Reading the synopsis, I'm also kind of skeptical, but I'll see how it goes. Not to mention Shinichiro Miki," commented Cloudedmind on Animesuki.

"Umm...hrm...well, I could easily see this as a possible disaster for me, but maybe it will surprise? I will wait to hear a bit more, I think," explained Flower.

"The concept's got my attention and I'm looking forward to checking it out, but it's quite the potential minefield they're going to be wading through," commented Etrien on ANN.

Anime News Network reports that "Comical Psychosomatic Medicine" is based on an original manga by Yu Yuki. The anime adaptation is set to premiere on February 13. The series is directed by Hirofumi Ogura for the For All production studio. Character designs for the series are handled by Miki Ishino, with animation supervised by Taizo Iwanaga.
