Rafael Nadal Escapes Wimbledon Nightmare With Girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello To Ibiza: Former World Number 1 No Longer ‘Big Four’?
Rafael Nadal had one of his worst Wimbledon performances. To get away from the Wimbledon nightmare, the former world number 1 retreated to Ibiza possibly with his girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello.
According to Daily Mail’s headline, “Rafael Nadal enjoys Ibiza getaway as Wimbledon continues.”
Rafael Nadal has been facing all sorts of disheartening comments from the media after his early exit from Wimbledon 2015. According to All Sports, Marion Bartoli said that he no longer is the “big four” in tennis world today.
Previously, according to USA Today, Rafael Nadal tried to explain his situation to the journalists.
"It's (obvious) that I had more up and downs (this season)," said Nadal. "It's not terrible, but if we compare with other years, obviously (it) looks bad, no? That's always going to happen when you achieve a lot in the past."
But Rafael Nadal has been insisting that “life has been fantastic” and immediately got all his fans wondering if that was in reference to his girlfriend Maria francisca Perello. Seeing how the former world number 1 has been underperforming leading up to French Open 2015, that’s quite a bold statement to make.
But his long-term girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello must be quite pleased with that remark.
According to the Guardian, the former world number 1 said, “Today I am not as good as I was. I don’t know if tomorrow I am going to be as good as I was. Life has been fantastic for me – and it still is.”
Sounds like his girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello is doing some work to get his confidence back up.
Tennis Magazine reports that according to an interview the King of Clay gave to La Nacion, he expressed an interest to have kids and start his own family soon.
He said, "I am quite a family person, my education has been towards family. You never know what will happen in the future, but I understand that I will form a family, have kids, I do not know how much. I love children, but one does not decide unilaterally, it takes two."
