EXID's Viral Hit 'Up & Down' Sees Resurgence In Taiwan

Two years after being released, EXID's "Up & Down" is a hit in Taiwan.

The K-pop hit by girl group EXID was released in 2014, but recently rose to top Taiwan's largest K-pop chart. Last Wednesday, "Up & Down" appeared in the number one spot on Taiwan's KKBOX singles chart.

"Up & Down" appeared in the no. 1 spot, while EXID's 2015 song "Ah Yeah" also featured in the top ten of the KKBOX chart.

EXID performed "Up & Down" and other songs at a showcase in Taiwan in July, the first time the group had their own solo showcase in the country.

"Up & Down" went viral in South Korea after a video was posted on YouTube showing a fan-taken video of the performance in October 2014. Since then, the video has been seen more than 18 million times.

EXID's songs were featured alongside songs by Big Bang and Tiger JK on the KKBOX chart.

EXID made their most recent comeback with the song "Hot Pink" last November.
