Bigbang's Fantastic Baby Hits 400 Million Views

The music video of the track "Fantastic Baby" exceeded 400 million views on YouTube, It is approximately seven years, since the release of the music video.

Besides this achievement, the music video of "Fantastic Baby" was the first K-pop idol group MV to reach 200 million views in January 2016, and 300 million views in June 2017. The MV also became the most-watched video for many years.

Furthermore, the song "Fantastic Baby" is considered as amongst the biggest K-pop hits ever, and the first track to go across international borders with its then-groundbreaking EDM style, according to Tamar Herman from Billboard. He even added that the single took K-pop industry to a whole new level.

Critics have also claimed the song, Rolling Stone recognizing it as one of the greatest boy band songs of all time, stating that the single from K-pop phenomenon BIGBANG crossed over the American boundaries with not much effort on the group's part. "Fantastic Baby" was then labeled as a "modern essential" for exposing "K-pop's genre-bending, visually-oriented appeals.

On top of that, the song kept on to gain more than four million downloads in South Korea and surpassed 6.5 million throughout Asia, making them as one of the best-selling digital singles of all-time and amongst the best-selling tracks in South Korea.

BIGBANG's G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung, and former member Seungri are recognized as the "King of K-pop." They are also seen as one of the most influential acts to mold the K-pop industry.

The four members are currently completing their mandatory military service. G-Dragon enlisted on February 27, 2017, Taeyang on March 12, and Daesung on March 13, 2018. T.O.P, on the other hand, joined on February 9, 2017, as a conscripted policeman.

The last member that was supposed to be engaged on March 25, 2019, is Seungri, but it was postponed as he is being investigated for the Burning Sun scandal. He even retired from the entertainment industry on March 11, 2019.

Their last single, before all the four members joined the military, is titled "Flower Road," which was released on the same day Daesung's enlistment. The song is a goodbye to V.I.P or a Very Important Person, the official fan club name of BIGBANG.
