N.Flying, short for New Flying, is a South Korean rock music band established by FNC Entertainment in 2013, which further includes new wings or new escape.
On October 1, 2013, the band launched their digital song "Basket" in Japan. On May 20, 2015, the group made their premiere in Korea with their first EP and lead single "Awesome."
The band was formed initially with four members: Kwon Kwang Jin, Lee Seunghyub, Cha Hun, and Kim Jae Hyun. Yoo Hwe Seung was added to the group in June 2017.
On December 26, 2018, Kwang Jin departed from the band, and Dongsung replaced his spot on January 1, 2020. Kwon Kwang Jin started his career as a labelmate bass player of CNBLUE in 2009. However, he left the group in late September due to personal reasons.
In January of 2011, Kwang Jin handed back to train the recruits Seunghyub, Jae Hyun, and Cha Hun under FNC Entertainment conference. Before N.Flying's premiere, lead singer Park Rai-On left the group early in 2013 because of compulsory military service in his homeland Singapore.
FNC Entertainment subsequently announced that its agreement to pave the way for the band's emergence was ended.
The rest will go on to form N.Flying.
In 2013, Lee Seunghyub participated in Juniel's "Pretty Boy" video for the song, portraying her love interest in a café. N.Flying introduced their fifth EP "Spring Memories" on April 24, 2019, via "Fly High Project # 3," with about the same name opening track.
The EP comprises six tracks with their past songs, "Like a Flower" and "Rooftop." Associated with the project launch conjunctions, on April 29, in MUV Hall, a concert series entitled "N.Flying Fly High Project Note 3" was held. The album made its debut on Gaon at no. 5.
"Rooftop" eventually moved on to no. 1 on all big Korean music charts, topping Gaon's weekly online ranking and its monthly online list for March for two consecutive weeks.
On March 5, preceding Inkigayo on March 17, N.Flying earned their first-ever music win on The Show.
On January 1, 2019, via "Fly High Project # 2," N.Flying went on as a four-member group with their track "Rooftop." After the launch, their live show series "N.Flying Fly High Project Note 2. 2019" took place at MUV Hall on January 19.
"Rooftop" first managed to enter the lower tiers of Korean album charts, and shortly after their music event promotional activities were completed in early March, the track suddenly gained prominence. It became popular after an unidentified user shared it on an online community.
The first international journey of N.Flying's "Live Up All Night" occurred in Bangkok on June 20, 2019, in Hong Kong on August 10, and in Paris on September 22.
On July 20, in "Yes24 Live Hall," N.Flying conducted their show "N.Flying Fly High Project Note 4."
