BLINK Makes a DIY BLACKPINK Light Stick + Another Fan Has The Loveliest Response

How far can a fan go to show his/her affection to her favorite K-pop group?

Fans have various ways to show their support to their idols, from album purchases, to streaming, collecting merchandise, attending concerts, and these are only a few. Many dedicated fans literally shell out for their idols, and there are others, despite not having the means to afford, who have creative ways to show that they are legitimate fans.

A BLINK, who is said to have no budget, created a DIY BLACKPINK light stick and shared it on her SNS. Eventually, a lot genuinely appreciated her effort of making a replica of the original "Bl-ping-bong" - it's made of cardboard, tissue paper and other light materials; and painted it. The paper mache light stick looks cute and in her caption, she wrote: "Never had my own light stick, so after three days, I've finally finished my diy Blackpink light stick."

How other BLINKs reacted

Like a tidal wave, fans were inspired to make their own DIY BLACKPINK light upon seeing OP's creation. And of course, she was willing to help, so she shared some tips on how to make one. She also assured them that she will upload a video tutorial.

"Wrote things that I've made in the comments. But don't worry I'll try to make another one so I could film it as a tutorial. One of these days hihi coz I have classes tomorrow," she said.

How did this BLINK become lucky?

While she enjoyed sharing her tips on how she made her fanlight, another BLACKPINK fan gave the loveliest gesture through commenting on her Twitter thread.

"This is so cute, but let me send you a real one," the generous BLINK said, to which OP responded, "OMG Thank you so much!!! I appreciate you. Someone already messaged me earlier and will give me one too. I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU GUYS THANK YOU SO MUCH."

The kind fan also mentioned that she did a good job on her craft and asked her to post the real "Bl-ping-bong" once she receives it.

How much does a BLACKPINK light stick cost?

Based on online stores that sell the authentic item, it ranges from $30 to $40, quite expensive for those who are still on a tight budget or those who have no source of funds at all, considering that BLACKPINK has a ton of young fans.

Meanwhile, thanks to this story, BLINKs realized something far greater than what money can't buy - the camaraderie within the fandom. BLINKs were once voted as the most annoying fans, but this incident revealed that they can be one another's support source.
