In the second week of June, K-pop's representative groups BTS, TWICE, Girls' Generation and more surprised fans with their comeback news and releases!

Most-Anticipated Comeback in 2nd Week of June 2022:

1. wooh!ah! - 'JOY'

On June 9, the rising girl group wooh!ah! has returned to the K-pop scene flaunting more powerful energy in about five months with its first mini-album, "JOY."

In this album, the pure and sparkling passion of the members was showcased through the six songs including the title track "Danger," and B-sides "Joyride," "Go Away," "Switch Up," "Straight Up" and "Catch the Stars."

2. BTS - 'PROOF'

Global boy group BTS once again claimed their status as a top-tier artist through its anthology album, "PROOF" which was dropped on June 10.

BTS introduced the album as a "memory lane" to looking back at their memories and working moments as a group. As soon as it was released, "PROOF" received enthusiastic responses from fans globally as it sold 2,155,363 copies a day after its release and the songs included dominated local and international music charts.

3. WONHO - 'FACADE'

Solo artist WONHO came back with new music with various emotions on June 13. On this day, the singer released his third mini-album "FACADE," and made a comeback in about four months since his first single, "OBSESSION."

Upon release, the album immediately gained huge interest as WONHO flaunted his infinite growth and musical growth by participating in both songwriting, composing and producing of all the songs.

Girls' Generation Announces New Variety Show 'Soshi Tamtam'

"Nation's Girl Group" Girls' Generation will start their full-fledged return to the music scene with a group reality show!

On June 9, it was reported that SNSD will be having their own reality program JTBC's "Soshi Tamtam" which is set to be aired in July before their official comeback.

Meanwhile, SNSD, who have been inactive for five years will finally return as an eight-member group with a new album to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary in August.

As they turn seven-year-old group this 2022, eyes are focused on TWICE whether they will renew their contract or not with the company

On June 12 then, Jeongyeon indirectly hinted that TWICE will most likely renew its contract with JYP through a Bubble message.

In the fandom-idol communicating app, the female star conveyed that TWICE will have full-packed content until October. Just then, she also mentioned that fans can anticipate her participation in the "Melody Project" by JYP Entertainment next year.

With this, fans are speculating that TWICE will stay under the agency, given that Jeongyeon already has plans for next year.

BTS Reveals Temporary Break, To Start Solo Careers

On June 14, BTS announced that they will be having their "OFF" season after the release of "PROOF" to start their solo journey.

Following the news aired through "2022 FESTA Dinner," HYBE clarified that BTS will not be having a hiatus, rather, the members will focus more on their solo activities on top of group content.

While fans especially ARMYs (fandom of BTS) worry if the group will disband, the members themselves attested to their return once they finally find their identity as a group.
