In a recent broadcast appearance, TWICE Nayeon reveals why she finds fansign events difficult for her despite having done it for the past seven years of her career. Keep on reading to know more.
TWICE Nayeon Reveals Reason She Finds Fansign Events Difficult for Her
Recently on June 30, TWICE member Nayeon made a guest appearance on the Episode 5 of comedian Lee Yong Jin's show "Yongjin's Health Center" on his Youtube channel.
In this episode, which is entitled "No More Misunderstandings! Nayeon's Worries with Shyness," Nayeon talks about her concerns regarding her personality with Lee Yong Jin and former "Street Woman Fighter" dancer Gabee.
Nayeon began by saying that she has "lived without knowing the inconvenience," and shared that she has been recently worried about her shy personality ever since she made her solo debut back on June 24 with her eponymous album "IM NAYEON."
Explaining a bit further, Nayeon said, "I have a hard time being with someone that I just met for the first time." She went on to speak about her experience at fansign events, which she has been doing for the past seven years as a TWICE member.
Due to Nayeon's shy personality, the "POP!" singer shares the difficulties she faces doing fansign events on her own. "I am not good at [making] small talk. I have to make an effort, so if I ask someone 'Did you eat?' and 'Where are you from?,' it is obvious that I am trying very hard to talk," Nayeon shared.

The TWICE member also admitted that she couldn't even ask those two questions right sometimes. While reviewing one of her fansign events, one fan had asked her those questions, and she knew the atmosphere was awkward between them.
"[The fan] asked me, 'Have you eaten?' and I knew it was done. I guess [the fan] didn't have anything to say," Nayeon said.
Then, Lee Yong Jin and Nayeon reenacted the fansigning event, which showed the idol's difficulty in continuing a conversation as she could only ask about his name and tell him "see you again."
After the reenacted, Lee Yong Jin concluded that Nayeon is shyer than him. "I think you are shyer than I am. I am shy too. So about this shy personality, I can't tell you anything because I know I can't overcome them," Lee Yong Jin said apologetically.
Nayeon also expressed her gratitude in receiving sympathy from strangers and advice from people who aren't shy.
