On January 19, Metaverse Entertainment, a subsidiary of the game company Netmarble, confirmed the launch of its first girl virtual girl group, MAVE:!
According to their agency, the four-member team will release its first single album, "PANDORA'S BOX" on January 25 at 6 p.m. KST through various online music sites.
For those unversed, MAVE: is an idol group consisting of four members; SIU, ZENA, TYRA and MARTY. Their group's name means "MAKE NEW WAVE," setting its ambition to create a new wave in the K-pop scene with virtual idols.
In particular, MAVE:'s concept will focus on their unique worldview of being four children of nature who crash-landed on Earth in 2023 in search of freedom of emotion.
Ahead of their debut, Metaverse Entertainment raised K-pop fans' anticipation through their teaser photos, showing the fresh yet cool visuals of members "born" between 2002 and 2003.
Some saw the quartet's resemblance with numerous female idols representing K-pop, drawing attention if how will they make "new wave" as AIs.
Their vocals were also teased by the company through a highlight medley, where music fans can listen to the "killing part" of its title track "PANDORA" and the other two b-sidetracks.

SIU
SIU, who flaunts silver hair, is the leader and main vocalist of the group. Based on her narrative, she was born in 2002 and crash-landed in Jeju, Korea.

ZENA
Born in 2002, ZENA crash-landed in Paris, France. She is bilingual and can speak both Korean and French.
In the team, the lead vocalist tends to be the quiet, reserved, independent and cold, but once you get to know her, she's actually warmhearted and fu of aegyo.

TYRA
In her visual teaser, TYRA boasts braided pigtails. The 2003-born idol will fill the role of the main rapper and main dancer. Aside from this, she also composes and writes raps for the group.
TYRA, who crash-landed in California, USA, is a bilingual who can speak Korean and English. She has a passionate personality, and her ID number is T-1011010101.
MARTY
Last but not least, MARTY, born on November 23, 2003, is the maknae of the group who crash-landed in Jakarta, Indonesia. She speaks both Korean and Indonesian.
In the team, MARTY is the one in charge of energy and the mood maker.

Meanwhile, on January 19, "PANDORA" MV teaser was released through the official YouTube channel of 1theK, giving a glimpse of the quartet.
"PANDORA" is a trap-style dance song with a mysterious and ethnic mood. Through this music video teaser, the 3D visuals of MAVE: members and some of their performances were unveiled for the first time.
