Following inactivity in 2015, what happened to Children of Empire, also known as ZE:A? Here are members' activities 9 years after their hiatus.
In 2010, Star Empire Entertainment created a nine-member group ZE:A, which would later become one of the most iconic 2nd-gen boy groups. The nonet is best known for their songs, "Mazeltov," "Breath" and "The Ghost of Wind."
Amid group activities, the members found their individual popularity in the acting and entertainment field. While they tried their best to maintain the team, they ended up in an indefinite hiatus in 2015 until Star Empire announced their contract expiration in 2017.
Despite this, ZE:A attested that the group will not disband and they will once again reunite in the future.
1. Kwang Hee
Amid waiting, the members are busy with their individual schedules. Among them, Hwang Kwang Hee raised recognition to ZE:A as an entertainment personality.
Since 2020, he has been loved as the main host of the web entertainment show, "Nego King," and he has always flaunted his acting skills through cameos in various dramas such as "The Glory" aired in 2022.
2. Park Hyung Sik
Starting as a musical actor, Park Hyung Sik later on challenged the small and big screen and is now one of the top Hallyu actors in the world.
He was notable for his works such as "The Heirs, "High Society," "Hwarang" "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "Suits" and "Our Blooming Youth."
In 2024, he is set to release a new drama, "Doctor Slump" starring opposite Park Shin Hye.
3. Im Siwan
Following Park Hyung Sik, Im Siwan is also rising as a top actor thanks to his laudable dramas including "Strangers from Hell, "Run On," "Summer Strike" and until recently, he has been enjoying immense popularity due to his 2023 Coupang Play's series, "Boyhood."
In 2024, he will continue his reign with his appearance in Season 2 of the hit Netflix series, "Squid Game."
4. Kim Dong Jun
Kim Dong Jun has been steadily building his career as an actor since 2010, but he finally reached his peak as the main character of the popular drama, "Korea-Khitan War."
Initially, he was criticized for his acting skills working with veteran actors but he overcame this issue and won the Top Excellence Award for actor at the 2023 KBS Drama Awards.
5. Moon Junyoung
Born to be a leader, Moon is now the CEO of his own company, Super Member's Entertainment which is also managing his activities as a singer.
After leaving Star Empire, he also opened a café with co-member Minwoo.
6. Kevin
After returning to Australia, Kevin became a host for "SBS PopAsia!" on top of becoming a DJ. He also has a YouTube channel called KEVIN KIM.
7. Taeheon

After ZE:A activities stopped, Taeheon worked at a construction site and is now a laborer at an e-commerce company Coupang as of 2023.
But he plans to become a professional boxer and become a musical actor.
8. Heecheol
Among members, Heecheol didn't pursue a career as a celebrity and became a normal office worker. But, he also opened a YouTube and Twitch account to continue communication with fans.
9. Minwoo
Aside from having a café with Junyoung, Minwoo is focused on his career as a soloist, gaining high popularity in Japan.
