In a talk show, Girls' Generation Taeyeon answered the question if it is possible for SM's project girl group GOT the beat to reunite for a new music release.
On March 28, the first episode of "DNE, comment 'Hey, come here" was uploaded on its official Youtube channel.
Hosted by Super Junior Donghae and Eunhyuk, SNSD Taeyeon appeared as its first guest to support the former labelmates and talked about various topics about their idol career, starting from their trainee days.
Taeyeon Shares Unrelenting Closeness of SNSD
On this day, Donghae showed curiosity about Taeyeon's closeness with Girls' Generation and asked:
"Do you talk with other members often?"
Taeyeon confidently replied "Yes" and shared that they frequently contact each other through their group chat.
"We have a group chat. It's not every day, but we talked earlier today. I sent heart and other emojis."
Eunhyuk then commented on how lovely it is, highlighting the difference between female and male idols where the latter would not actively engage in chatting even though they have a group chat.
Taeyeon clarified:
"We are the same. Only a few are proactive. Sooyoung is (the most talkative). She has great leadership skills. She takes initiative."
When asked about the most responsive member, Taeyeon replied:
"Pretty much everybody. I think I'm the least responsive one."
Taeyeon Says Possibility for GOT the Beat's Reunion Is 'Frozen'
While on the topic, Donghae then mentioned GOT the beat (Girls on Top), SM's project girl group to which Taeyeon belongs.
"Does GOT the beat have a group chat?"
Taeyeon answered:
"Yes, we have. But it's not like we are actively chatting."

Regarding their future activities, Taeyeon hinted that they have no plan to promote as a group again, saying:
"I'm not optimistic about that. I doubt it. It's frozen."
Despite this, Taeyeon looked back on her fun experience being with her senior and junior in one group, adding:
"But I had so much fun though! I've never imagined I would be working with BoA. I couldn't even imagine myself being in the same room with her. It was a mind-blowing experience. It was my first time working with other people besides Girls' Generation members. I had so much fun!"
Moving forward, when Eunhyuk once again brought up GOT the beat having no plans in the future, Taeyeon clarified that she is not fully closing the doors for the group, saying:
"It's just frozen for now. (You could always defrost it) That's possible."
Meanwhile, GOT the beat is a project girl group of SM Entertainment, which includes BoA, Girls' Generation Taeyeon & Hyoyeon, Red Velvet Seulgi & Wendy as well as aespa Karina & Winter.
They debuted with its single, "Step Back" in 2022 which became a huge hit, followed by their 1st mini-album, "Stamp On It" in 2023.
