Vampire Diaries Season 5 Spoilers: New Villain Cast With Australian Hottie, Set Photos Leak, And The New Promo Teaser Trailer

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 is just around the corner, and a series of news, photos, and videos indicate several spoilers for the upcoming CW series.

According to International Business Times, a new villain by the name of Dr. Wes Maxfield has been cast with Australian hottie Rick Cosnett in the role. Reportedly, the biology professor will pose a new threat to Elena and Caroline as they enter college life at Whitmore College in season 5.

Whitmore, like many professors who have graced "The Vampire Diaries," is "hiding a dark and dangerous secret."

In addition, some early set photos of "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 seems to allude to Bonnie hanging out with Elena and Caroline, but is it really so?

In this photo courtesy of ET, it seems Bonnie is alive and well, but could it be her ghost simply enjoying the company of her friends?

Despite Bonnie's supposed predicament, it seems "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 will push the ghostling together with Jeremy, who may wind up helping her communicate with the living.
